A living-room floor only has to look good. A shower has to be a waterproof box that stays waterproof for twenty years while somebody runs hot water into it every day. That is why bathrooms are the job we most often get called in to fix after somebody else built one, and why we approach ours in a specific order.
Every shower we build gets a proper waterproofing system — bonded sheet membrane or a liquid-applied membrane installed to the manufacturer's coverage rate, with corners, changes of plane and pipe penetrations treated as their own detail. Pans get sloped to the drain before the membrane goes on, not after. Then it gets flood tested. Only then does tile go on the wall.
Not every bathroom needs to be a showpiece. A lot of what we do in Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood is straightforward: retile the floor and the tub surround, replace the vanity, regrout, recaulk, and get the unit rentable again quickly. We take that work seriously too, and we price it honestly.
Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Las Olas, Galt Ocean Mile, Aventura, Sunny Isles — we work in buildings with rules constantly. We submit the association's approval packet, provide a certificate of insurance naming the building, keep to permitted work hours, protect the common corridors and book the service elevator. Your board should never be chasing us for paperwork.
A typical full bathroom with a tiled shower runs seven to twelve working days: demolition, rough adjustments, waterproofing and cure, tile, grout, seal, fixtures, final walk-through. A floor-and-tub-surround refresh is usually two to four days. You get both dates in writing before we start.

If the work is limited to finishes — tile, vanity, fixtures in the same locations — usually not. Once you move plumbing, alter walls or change the electrical, your municipality will want a permit and your condo association will want approval. We tell you which category your job falls into during the estimate and handle the association paperwork.
Not the one being worked on. If it is your only bathroom, tell us at the estimate and we will sequence the job to minimise the days it is out of service.
Yes. Curbless and near-curbless walk-ins are a large part of what we build now, using linear drains or a sloped four-way pan. They need the slab recessed or the floor built up, so it is worth deciding early — bring it up at the estimate.
Either way works. Many clients pick tile themselves and we install it; others want us to source it. If you are choosing, we will tell you before you buy whether the tile suits the application — some beautiful wall tiles have no business being on a shower floor.
